The Msgr. Bernard G. Collins Assembly Honor Guard was awarded "Honor Guard of the Year" by District Master, Armand Brooks at the June 2nd, 2007 Exemplification of the 4th Degree in recognition of our hard work and dedication.

Pictured (left to right) are Faithful Pilot and Assembly Commander SK Kevin McCarthy, SK Mark Low, Faithful Navigator SK Henry Armstrong, PGK, DD, SK Bill Strube, GK, SK Armand Brooks, Master Fourth Degree, SK Craig French, and SK Joey Traylor.  Not pictured are Faithful Admiral SK Joe Meyer, PGK, Faithful Purser SK James Oliver, PGK, and Inner Sentinel SK James Porcaro.

Also not pictured, and the man that taught all of us how to be the best Honor Guard we could be is our Deceased Brother, SK James Joly, PGK, PFN, FDD.

It is an honor to have served as your Assembly Commander since SK Joly's passing.  I'm sure we all look forward to another stellar year of service.

A Place to Grieve. A Place to HealThis is the inscription on the statue erected by all the Knights of Columbus in the Phoenix Diocese to reflect the Arizona State Councils pro-life position. On April 23 this year, Fourth Degree Color Corps from all over the Diocese gathered at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale for the parents of miscarried children. The Catholic Cemeteries make arrangements to receive aborted fetuses from hospitals and bury them in the plots. The practice of the burial of the aborted, stillborn and miscarried Holy Innocents continues today. The Memorial lives up to its motto.
